Bonville International Golf Course
ALAN Hawes has “been there and done that”
and now he wants to share his life experiences
with golf travellers who enjoy playing new and
exciting golfing destinations.
The enterprising businessman, who just
happens to be Robert Allenby’s brother-in-law, is an experienced pilot and formerly ran
fly/ski tours to Australia’s snow fields.
He also operated transport and technical
services companies in Australia and New
Zealand.
So he knows a thing or two about organising
tours and moving people around in comfort.
These days Alan has his own golf tour
company called Alan B Golf Tours (get it?
Alan-B? If not, try saying it out loud).
The golf tour company can organise trips
from single-day excursions right up to a two-week fully-inclusive golfing holiday.
So, if you have a group of 10 or more, Alan
and his team can accommodate you.
In New South Wales, Alan takes groups
to the Hunter Valley, Southern Highlands,
Central Coast, Blue Mountains and the
Northern Rivers.
Tours to Queensland’s Gold or Sunshine
coasts as well as trips to the magnificent
Murray River on the NSW-Victorian border,
the Yarra Valley or the famous sandbelt courses
can also be arranged.
And because Alan has been “inside the
ropes” with his brother-in-law Robert Allenby,
and has mixed with some of the world’s top
players, he has some great stories to tell.
Right now Alan B Golf Tours has a spring
special to Bonville International at Coffs
Harbour with an overnight stay at Kooindah
Waters Resort.
“We only promote golf courses which
measure up to our strict criteria of having the
‘Wow factor’ and make golfers want to play
them again and again,” Alan said.
“Our tours range from extended travel stays
at the one venue or can encompass several
golf courses and stays within the one journey.
“The extended tour prices include four-star
accommodation and breakfast.”
Golfers and non-golfers travel safely aboard
a comfortable, air-conditioned coach with
rest stops that includes coffee/tee and snacks
and welcome drinks are offered on arrival at
the resort.
All rounds of golf include competition fees
and motorised golf carts.
Alan said the tour groups also organise their
own competitions.
Next year Alan will also host tours to the
four majors – the US Masters, US Open,
Open Championship and the US PGA
Championship.
“Let us take the hassle out of driving or flying
with restrictive luggage allowances on cheaper
fares — as well as the burden of carrying your
clubs and luggage,” Alan offered.
